As you all know, we had a baby shower for Brandi! It was sssooooooo much fun! I am constantly amazed by my mom and sisters and how they are the first to jump on the band wagon of fun to support my little family. I was amazed that they took time out of their busy schedules to make a two day trip just to spend a few short hours with Brandi and her family. The drive up (seven hours) and the drive back (six hours) were so much fun. We visited most of the way up in between being amazed by the beauty of the green trees and beautiful mountains on our trek but the way back was a hoot. We...or should I say, Wendy!...cranked up the tunes and we were all rockin' out to every musical genre we could find. The last three hours of the trip were filled with old familiar tunes from the 60's. I'm sure the shocks on the Rav need replaced after all of our bouncing around!
Chrystal was the one in charge. She was amazing! She made an incredible diaper cake, some little booties and wax dipped diapers for the nut cakes as well as hand made invitations. Yup, she's amazing. Then! On top of that, she had us playing the funnest games that I'd ever played at a shower! She had printed out little baby bingo cards and made little bottle top bingo buttons and then we played a game where you write down all the names of songs with the name "baby" in it...and then the fun really began. With those songs, we were to stick three marshmallows in our mouth and say one of the titles of the songs we came up with and have the others guess what we were saying. We were absolutely ROLLING! There is a picture of mom that looks like she is crying...well, she is! She's crying because she is laughing so hard.
We all had such a great time packed into those few short hours and Brandi got all kinds of loot. All in all, it was a superb weekend, party, and trip.
