Grace was born on the 3rd of September around 8:30 in the evening. She weighed 5 lbs. 13 oz. and was 19" long...and very, very beautiful. Everything went just fine with the delivery but afterward there were some major complications that almost took the life of Brandi. She kept falling into unconsciousness and the nurses were trying to keep her awake until she was able to be taken for emergency surgery. She is now on a slow mend. Grace is doing well and hardly makes a peep. She loves to eat and lay around looking at all she can see with her bright eyes. By one more miracle, Brandi has been able to start nursing her! The doctor didn't think her milk would come in because of all the trauma to her body but on the very day that Brandi was released from the hospital (Tuesday; Grace was released on Sunday), Brandi's milk came in and Grace took to it without any problems at all.
